Veurre® is a deliciously creamy plant-based butter alternative that is free from major allergens and contains zero palm oil. Our vegan margarine is dairy-free, soya-free, nut-free, gluten-free and made from high quality organic oils.
The beauty of Veurre® is its versatility. It’s a delicious, vegan butter perfect for baking, cooking, melting and spreading and the texture is smooth like butter, with a mild coconut, olive and earthy hemp flavour.
Veurre® can be melted on top of potatoes, stirred through noodles and pasta, or tossed through roasted vegetables. Why not take it to another level and blend our vegan butter with herbs, garlic, caramelised onions or chilli. You can also add lashings of our vegan margarine to corn on the cob and fresh vegetables.
Our vegan butter can be used in cooking to create all kinds of sweet and savoury vegan dishes. You can use it to make white sauces, shallow fry in a pan to make garlic mushrooms or add it to soups to make them super creamy. It adds a delicious richness to recipes.
Veurre® is a vegan margarine so when it comes to baking it is second to none. Our dairy free butter is perfect for cakes, bakes and pastries, simply replace butter for Veurre® like for like. Why not try it as a vegan spread. Veurre® has a solid consistency from the fridge, so allow it to soften at room temperature for just a few minuits before using as a vegan spread. It is perfect for spreading on crumpets, toast, bagels, sour dough, croissants, scones and crackers. It has a wonderful creamy texture and a beautiful light yellow buttery colour.
Our plant-based butter comes in 200g blocks, the packaging is widely recyclable across the UK and suitable for re-using once you have finished.

Matthew Atkins is a professional chef and the founder of The Hemp Pantry. He is the creator of Veurre®, the organic plant-based alternative to butter that is free from dairy, nuts, soya and palm oil.
Matthew began his chef career at 16. As passionate about travelling as he is about cooking, at 19 he moved to Europe and worked as a chef in restaurants and hotels across the continent. After four successful years in mainland Europe, he then became a private chef on board luxury superyachts providing 6* service to some of the world’s most influential people. It was during this time that he started to develop his own products to cater to his discerning vegan and dairy-free clients and their guests.
Determined to improve many of the early vegan recipes he prepared, he started researching and using unique ingredients in order to reach the level of excellence he wanted. Not being able to find suitable, high quality plant-based alternatives, he decided to create his own.
Originally, Veurre® contained almond milk but Matthew wanted to make it free from all the major allergens so it could be used for his soya-free and nut-free clients. He switched the almond milk for hemp milk and the rest as they say is history!
Hemp has numerous Health and Sustainability benefits, and Matthew decided to use it as a main ingredient in all of his plant-based products. He left the yachting industry and returned to the UK to perfect the Veurre® recipe for a further two years before launching The Hemp Pantry.
Alongside its unique flagship butter alternative, Veurre®, The Hemp Pantry has developed both sweet and savoury snacks. As with Veurre®, all these products will be free from dairy, soya and nuts and will not contain palm oil.
